On the front of the vessel there is a bas-relief of a religious image – a Virgin with a child in her arms – flanked by the coats of arms of the Icart family. On the sides, in the place where the head rested, there is a sculpted helmet, a symbol of nobility; and where the feet rested there is a dog, a symbol of feudal loyalty.
The top features a reclining figure representing the deceased person (death). It is dressed in lavish armour featuring the family’s coat of arms. There is also a lot of detail in the cushions.
